You’ll learn to apply muscle, ligament, functional, and fascia correction techniques, as well as lymphatic applications. This course will emphasize discussion and techniques for disorders of the upper extremities.In this two-day course, you’ll practice combination techniques used in upper and lower extremity conditions such as neurological shoulder issues, drop foot, impingement syndrome, rotator cuff dysfunction, epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis and scar tissue management. Participants will also receive a course manual, practice tape, and a certificate upon completion.Who should attend?This course is perfect for occupational therapists, hand therapists and other healthcare professionals who want to emphasize treatment options for upper extremity conditions.Course DetailsIn the K-taping® Pro - Upper Extremities Emphasis course students are taught Four Application Techniques:Muscle Techniques: Correct imbalances between agonists and antagonists with muscle taping techniques that restore normal function and improve loading capacity and movement patterns.Ligament Techniques: Relieve pressure, pain, and improve loading capacity to aid in healing affected tendons, ligaments and scars.Corrective Techniques: Learn how to correct abnormal bony positions with functional correction and loosen fascia, change body alignment and reduce pain with fascia correction.Lymphatic Techniques: These techniques lift the skin to increase space between the skin and subcutaneous tissue, allowing lymph fluid to flow easier and correct disrupted lymph flow.Other InformationSchedule and Location: Sent via e-mail approximately 3 weeks in advance of the course date.Duration: 2 days, Sat-Sun 0830-1730. Two 15 minute breaks and a one hour lunch. Lunch not provided.
